     Example: If you purchase 1-100 kWh block of green power, and Northwestern Energy or a cooperative serves you, your charge will be $2.00/month in addition to your normal bill. Put the number 1 on line 9. Using 1 block of green energy for 1 year has the same environmental effect as planting a half-acre of trees or not driving a car 2400 miles.
     If you choose 4 blocks, put a 4 on line 9 and your charge will be $8.00/month, etc. If you want all of your electricity to be green power, check line 10 and leave line 9 blank. Fees from other utilities vary. However, if they exceed $2.00 per 100 kWh block, New World WindPower LLC will contact you for your approval prior to signing you up.
     We likely will see these extra charges go down relative to other power costs, as has been the case in Xcel Energy’s Colorado area. There the cost of green power has gone from $2.50 extra a block to $0.76 as 30,000+ Coloradoans signed up for responsible power, creating a green power market and driving wind power costs down.
