Hello. Thank you for coming to this
web site. My resume is below for your convenience, but I wanted to greet you in a more informal manner. I was born and grew up in Great Falls.
I am
an attorney with several years in private general practice and experience
working as a member of the Montana House of Representatives, an environmental planner/lobbyist for the Minnesota
Pollution Control Agency, Assistant Attorney General for the Montana
Public Utilities Commission, Contract Minnesota Administrative Law Judge,
Associate General Council/Marketing for the National Arbitration Forum,
and Chief of Staff for the Governmental Operations Committee in the Minnesota
State Senate.
I retired from the Western Area Injury
Compensation Office (Denver) for the US Postal Service in March of 2004.
After "retiring," I moved to Billings, Montana. I filed as a Democratic candidate for the Montana Public Service Commission. After losing the election, I incorporated New World WindPower LLC and the Green Electricity Buying Cooperative to market and sell electricity generated from windmills and other renewable energy sources and to promote energy conservation..
For recreation, I fish, ski, play
tennis, write, canoe, conduct fund raising drives for UNICEF, read and
develop web sites and computer programs.
I hope this site
will save you money and empower you to help reduce global warming.
Your friend,
Russ Doty
